We understand that bag design and manufacture is a highly iterative process – especially for young brands just starting out. Don’t worry. With Bag Studio, you’ll have a friendly partner and a friendlier process – designed to turn your vision into physical, tangible reality. Let’s take you through how we’d do it, if we were to work together.

You talk to Deven, our founder

Once you send in your request on our site, email or WhatsApp, we’ll fix up a time to speak. This is an important step – for us to fully understand your requirements, and for you to evaluate if we are indeed the right partners for you. This is a zero commitment conversation – it’s a combination of ice-breaker and briefing.

We’ll go from sketch to prototype

Whether you have a vague concept or a fully-formed AutoCAD, we work to bring your idea to life. We develop it into a practical, mass manufacture-able design. We speak about materials, dimensions, stitching options and other technical aspects (if you have no experience with these before, don’t fret – we’ll simplify the whole process for you). Once this design is approved, we get an actual prototype manufactured and sent to you. And then we wait, hoping what you see and feel delights you!

Our turnaround times for samples to be sent out:
For unprinted bags: 48 hours from request.
For printed bags: up to a week.

Charges for sampling:
For unprinted bags: No charge, assuming we are using fabric from our existing stock.
For printed bags: Charges vary depending on the size and number of colours. This charge is generally fully refundable against your final order, if there is no change in requirement.
Shipping: Samples are usually sent via the customer’s courier account (such as FedEx). Alternatively, we can send the samples using our own FedEx account, for a nominal fee of $30 – $50, payable via Paypal.

We action any alterations

Of course, we understand the first version might not be the perfect one. We offer a reasonable number of modifications till we get it right. And once we do, the true task begins!

We kickstart production

There are several key sub-steps here.

  • After you tell us the order quantity, we sort out the advance payment. We are flexible with the minimum order quantity based on your requirements.
  • We take care of all the legal, regulatory and compliance issues with respect to Indian payments and customs – well in advance so there are no problems later.
  • We provide you daily status updates – apprising you to key metrics such as number manufactured, materials sourced and (in very, very rare cases) anticipated delays.

 

Our production timeline generally varies from 4 to 12 weeks. For larger orders, we customise the production schedule with the client, to enable partial shipments.

We are upgrading our reporting process! We are working on a live dashboard where you will be able to check the status and key numbers of your order at any time. This is a first for an Indian bag manufacturer, and is a part of our effort to provide full transparency and make life easier for our customers. You’ll never have to wait for updates or worry about your order’s production status again.

Your final dispatch

We send out your order via reputed courier partners via air or ship. Our factory has close proximity to major national and international transport (rail, sea and air), ensuring timely delivery. The final payment and settlements are done!
